This is a good cause, folks, and we can see the results among our own young shooters. Over the past few years, Leadfoot Lizzie, Sicilian Kid & Pumpkin have received thousands of dollars in SASS Scholarship grants. With the costs of higher education rising every year, financial support from scholarships is a necessity. The Scholarship Shoot is a way to help support the SASS Scholarship Program and ensure the continuation of this excellent educational assistance for our young shooters.[/size]<br />

We were rained out last year, so let's try and make up for it this year!<br />

Something like ten inches of "moisture" at the range in the last twenty four hours.<br />

The Rough Riders will get things in shape for the match and theres a rumor that Raj from Eagle grips will grace us with his presence. Also Im told that he might bring some samples of his new<br />

Also believe that one of the premiums in the side matches is a gift certificate for a set of these new grips on whatever gun you believe needs the upgrade.<br />

Also heard that some of our celebrity shooters whove been traveling the country collecting belt buckles might be with us for a change. <br />

The Boy Scouts are planning to be there also so you dont have to pack a lunch either. <br />

Under the "Better Late Than Never" category, I cashed in the Eagle Grips gift certificate I won at the Scholarship Match and got a set of rosewood grips for my Walther PPK/s. I squeaked in just under the 1 year expiration date for ordering, and with my usual flair for procrastination, I didn't get around to putting the grips on my gun until a couple of weeks ago.<br />

Had some made for some of my Italian CZ Clones which Raj won't admit to as they were a hand made affair that he had no CNC for and where entirely hand made. Purpleheart, I gave him a hunk of wood and the following is what I got back.<br />
