That's a wrap! Thanks for a great season. See you all next year!

We should be shooting 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday again next year.

Final schedule to be finalized in February.

HEY FLATLANDERS!..

This is not good and YES! it's political so perhaps the other moderators might want to take this down.
Also, I'm in the process of getting a list of weapons that will be for sale with the idea we will prefer to sell to IL residents as selling outside the state will complicate the deals.

As soon as I have the list I will post it on the classified forum.
Thanks for looking boys & girls.

Sorry to read that story about the apparent sell-out by Springfield Armory and Rock River Arms. Do you think it possible that it was an Illinois Firearms Manufacturer's Association screw-up/shafting and not a cave-in/deal by the manufacturing firms themselves?

If you are planning on selling any SA or RRA guns, I would suggest postponing that for now. I understand the concept of cutting into their new gun sales by putting used ones on the market, but I suspect there will be a small flood of them on the market over the next couple of weeks and the glut will depress prices considerably. I'd suggest waiting a few months and then selling them.

If it weren't for the paperwork, background check fees, shipping fees and taxes, I'd suggest folks keep buying and selling their SA/RRA guns on Gunbroker, etc., over and over again, just to drive the manufacturer's sales people crazy. <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crazy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
• I thank God that I live on the right(north) side of the border. I suggest flatlanders find a legal way to establish Wisconsin residency. Portly.

I'm on the ISRA mailing list for bulletins, so I get their Thursday bulletins. Today's had this:
During the Revolutionary War, Thomas Paine wrote: "These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from service of his country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman." Thomas Paine must have been thinking of Springfield, as well as the fledgling United States.
These coming weeks are going to be among the toughest, if not the toughest, we have ever faced. There are those who are squandering megajoules of valuable energy assessing blame, finger pointing, and hurling recriminations without knowing the whole story; all actions which only compound the problem and do nothing to solve it. Now is the time to stick together. The Illinois State Rifle Association is going to press forward with every resource we have to protect and defend gun owners' rights and the Second Amendment in Illinois. Those rights include the rights of individuals, firearm dealers, manufactures, and all of the numerous other elements that make up the matrix of the law-abiding gun community. I view this matrix in terms of the NATO doctrine, which is, "An attack on one is an attack on all." I ask that you put behind you all of the venom and anger and stand together to fight the looming menace of SB1657. That is the only way to win.
I'm not a member or subscriber, so I can't view the comments on the ISRA bulletin page:
I was wondering if they are as strong as on the links Jeweler Jim posted, or if ISRA members are taking a more moderate view of the IFMA problem? If any reader here happens to be a member and can check, a brief report would be appreciated.
