If you've had enough of living in the "Land of Lincoln" and are considering moving out like many Illinois residents are doing (
https://www.illinoispolicy.org/illinois-saw-nations-worst-population-loss-during-the-decade/ ), consider that Delavan, Wisconsin would put you roughly equidistant from the Rock River Regulators, the Bristol Plains Pistoleros and the Oconomowoc Cattleman's Association. You'd also be about an hour's drive (as Google Maps calculates) from The Good Guys Posse and the Border Bandits - for as long as the people in Springfield let those venues exist.
With the possibility of FOID fees being raised and cardholders having to pay independently for their fingerprint and background checks, as well as paying the premiums for a mandated $1,000,000 liability firearms owning insurance policy, you might be a little short of cash to pay big box store prices for guns and ammo.
You might forced to patronize the big box stores after the independent FFL dealers are shut down by proposed requirements for disaster plans, and are bankrupted by proposed security system requirements for their place of business - including lit parking lots monitored 24/7 by facial recognition-quality cameras and 90 days of backups stored off-site (guess which state agencies will be browsing those recordings), triple redundancy on alarm systems, and enhanced storage safes/vaults).
I don't follow Illinois politics close enough to know if pro-gun legislators can prevent the passage and signing of the bills proposing the changes listed above. I wouldn't be surprised (if they haven't already done so) to find one of the "useful idiots" in Springfield
submitting a bill requiring all shooting facilities to triple, quadruple or
quintuple their liability insurance. That would make it a triple play - attack the gun owners, attack the gun vendors, attack the shooting facilities.
