I had to take off from work this morning to drive to Madison, so as long as I was just a few miles away, I made a side trip to Cabela's in Sun Prairie, to pick up a couple of cases of 9mm ammo.  I brought home 1500 rounds - of BBs for my Daisy rifle :D

They had (surprisingly) a few boxes of CCI Maxi Mag 22WMR available (priced $15.99), and (not surprisingly) a boat-load of .17 HMR rimfire ammo. If you want some .41 magnum factory ammo, they had 9-10 boxes of that. Other than that there were a few scattered boxes of rifle ammo (such as 6.5 Creedmore and 35 Whelen). There wasn't any buckshot, but for $25.00+ per box, tungsten-based bird shot is available. The high-end used gun room is closed and its show cases are empty.

Pretty much as barren as I expected it to be, still it was disappointing, especially with Christmas music piped in.
