That's a wrap! Thanks for a great season. See you all next year!

We should be shooting 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday again next year.

Final schedule to be finalized in February.

More Bristol Information

Bristol Link
Howdy Folks,

If you try and link to the Bristol web site, you will find that it is disabled. (www.Bristol cowboyaction.com) This does not mean that the shoots are cancled, it's just a temporary thing till we establish a new site.

For the sake of expediency, we have asked Cross-Eyed Kid to cancle it and he has. We owe the Kid a big thank you for all his work on that site in the past, which he has done at his own expence. Now that's Cowboy!

As soon as we find someone who is computer savy enough to run one, we'll get something back up. (Hopefully in a month or two.) Till then we will set something up on the www.Bristolshootingranges site.
Don't look for it for the July shoot however, as it first has to be approved by the CCKC board at their next meeting.

Thanks for your patients.

Tex

For clarification, the CCKC website is: http://www.bristolranges.com/

Also, as I told Jailbird yesterday, I'd be happy to post your scores and match schedule here for a couple of months until you get things set up on the CCKC site.
As I told you yesterday and many times in the past
you are what The Cowboy Way is all about !!!!!!! You have done so much for Cowboy Shooting in the state line area ---- some may not be aware that without YOU , we would not have all these RO qualified Cowfolk that we have now. YOU WERE THE FIRST to take the reins and helped guide this game we all love on a local level.
Your a good Cowboy and a Great Pal to all who shoot this game.
Thanks for stepping forward and thanks for being there ,
Thanks for the kind words. It was nice of you to say that. But it's all the fine cowfolk in this area, like yourself, who make it all worthwhile.
<img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/idea.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> My oldest son is a software engineering/computer science major at UW-Platteville in his senior year. He designed, set up, manages, and hosts my professional web site (www.powertowow.com). He also designed and set up another professional web site (www.wlgroup.net) for a consulting colleague of mine. He would be interested in helping Bristol get their site up. Please E-M if there is interest and what the next steps would be. Thanks

Thanks for the offer, we'll keep it in mind.

Right now the main issue is time, as in not enough of it yet. We have to run everything through the CCKC Board first, before we can give you an answer. (and that won't be before the July shoot.)

Hopefully, we can get something set up in a month or two. Till then we may take Denny up on his offer to post the scores for July here.

You guys sure do know how to pitch in and help out, that's for plumb and for certain.

Thanks to ya'all, every last one of ya. We'll have some more to tell ya, and maybe an answer or two, after the CCKC board meeting next week.

Thanks again

You know Tex, it just goes to show you that none of this is the result of any one person. It takes everyone from the match director all the way through the shooters to make it work. Lots of helpers make the whole thing possible. When we're all too old to do this, someone else will take over and it will continue. None of us are so big and important that we can claim all the credit.
Don't forget the very important position that I fill for the Posse. Chief Whipping Boy, you have to have someone in this position to blame for everything that goes wrong. MGS has stepped up to take the grief in the weather department, but all other problems are usually found to be my fault. If the rest of the posse could only see how "poor little ole me" is abused on the RR's private forum I'm sure they would tell you guys to lighten up. Yes, I have to cry myself to sleep every night under the chuck wagon. They won't even let me sleep in the bunkhouse (something about offending their delicate senses). There is just no end to the abuse at the hands of the Rough Riders. Even my wife has been holding classes on the proper way to deal with me. The lack of respect was minor until she started helping them adjust their actions towards me.

Well, I have to go now and load the van for the shoot at Bristol tomorrow. Going to sign up and shoot in that new class, "abused and neglected."
