That's a wrap! Thanks for a great season. See you all next year!

We should be shooting 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday again next year.

Final schedule to be finalized in February.

The August shoot and stage set-up

Can't say enough how much the Lt. and I enjoyed yesterday's shoot at KK. Hats off to everyone who helped develop the stages. What fun, most interesting, challenging, and just a hoot. The only exception would be the stage that southern gentleman (using the term quite loosely) designed. What was he smoking when he thought that one up?? Seriously, that stage was a challenge but most enjoyable. Thanks to the Rough Riders and the GGP for putting on a wonderful match. AND, I gotta believe that was the finest brat I have ever tasted!! Way to go Mrs. Dice..............errrr, Tillman.<br />
<br />
See ya all (all ya all) next month........ or, at Oconomowocmoecmcooc next week or Beloit.

    Thanks for the kind words. We only let that southern gentleman set up one stage a year as us old coots get lost just reading the instructions. Turkey Legs and Dry Fire wrote and set up stages 2 & 3 (I believe) and stage four was a last minute revision due to the collapse of the jail when we tried to raise it. As you know, this is a community effort and many folks participate and help out. Me? They just want me to stay out of the way.<br />
    <br />
    Glad you enjoyed it and thanks to all who worked so hard to make it a memorable match.<br />

    Id like to thank Lawman Wolf and Dam Road Mike for fixing my 73 rifle. <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/good.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':good:' /> It turned out to be a ID 10 T operator error of trying to make a .44-40 rifle chamber and fire a .45. I hang my head in shame. <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':doh:' /> Also, I want to thank all who offered me another rifle to play with.<br />
    Thanks again for the help. The GGP is a GREAT bunch of people! I mean FRIENDS!!!<br />

    Don't feel bad, Johnny. I know that 44-40s shoot pretty good in my 45s. <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':oops:' /> <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':oops:' />

    A little late getting this up here, but I'm still trying to recover from the trip up north and ended up having to cut the lawns today.<br />
    <br />
    First, the food was great. My son the common sewer, er I mean connoisseur of brats, said they were "THE BEST!" I guess for once I have to agree with him. Thanks to Dolly, Pumpkin and Dice for all the hard work.<br />
    <br />
    Also a big thanks to MGS for the weather, seems he finally got it right. A little warm, but still the best weather we've had for a shoot yet. If he keeps this up for the last two shoots we'll have to give him some kind of special award. <br />
    <br />
    Can't wait for September so I can participate again. There's a rumor that both the kids might be in that week end from college. If so I'll have one more opportunity to beat them both and send them back to school with a little humility.
  • 8P Thats how i felt about "Dice's "stage,I thought it would blow me away,but when i got to the line One eyed Kid was on the timer,i asked for help,and he talked me threw the rifle part shot for shot,and after wards i must admit i thought hey ,that was fun,but i never would have made it without the Kid's help.Way to go "Dice",i'll look for your "ONE"stage next year. <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wacko:' />
  • Thanks to one and all for the kind words, and the abuse! I know as long as you are ragging on me, you are leaving some other poor, innocent person alone!<br />
    <br />
    As for the "brats in da beer", I am glad you enjoyed them and I have passed on the compliments to Dollie and Pumpkin.<br />
    <br />
    Wyatt, I am glad you enjoyed the stage! <br />
    <br />
    As for the mudflap, I know I talk slow, but that does not mean I think slow! If you have to smoke something to be creative, I have an old sweat stained hat you can grind up and smoke! Down SOUTH we like to be creative, not just stand and deliver! Boring! <br />
    I look forward to shooting with you next week. By the way, my brother will be here for the Beloit shoot. Think you can handle two of us?!!!<br />
    <br />
    However, I have a stand and deliver stage based on the movie Open Range. You stand and deliver, but it consists of 40 rounds, plus a pistol reload and a rifel reload! Any takers?

    Whoa! Now THAT would be really fun! I think that kind of stuff once in a while is the cat's meow! <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/diablo.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':diablo:' />
  • LongtoothLongtooth Rode hard and put away wet one to many times
    Diceman,<br />
    <br />
    Sounds like a fun stage. Variety is the spice of life. Think and shoot that's the ticket. Can't wait. I hope I will be able to shoot this time around and not get called away. <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/clapping.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':clapping:' /> 8P

    Would love to meet your brother Dice and ask him how it is that he has put up with you as a family member. Unfortunately I'm delivering my second college student to college on that Saturday. If you drag him to Sycamore I'm going to try and make that one.
  • JJ,<br />
    He will only be here that weekend, but I will let him post his response here.<br />
    <br />
    When polled about this same issue, your family gave answers that are not printable except for one word "_ _ _ _ _ _ outsider!"<br />
    Go figure!
