Guess we covered the likes & dislikes of them thar sweeps. Any thoughts on target placement? (once the necessary repairs are done), How the "speed shoots" could be set up, adding a large round count shotgun stage (if we have the steel). Shooting 10 or so shotgun targets was always a hit at OPSC (Plainfeld). I'd like to see a BONUS rifle target placed a ways out there. Bonus targets are nice because if you're new or average and you miss, no penalty. If you hit it, 5 seconds off your time.

Wal, I like bonus targets too; I submitted a stage with a bonus target; it's for a pistol. Wait 'til ya see it; I think ya'll like it.<br />
"Bird" saw the Plainfield shoot this past weekend; I just know he liked their speed stage; let's see what happens to the speed stage at Bristol.<br />
Don't forget; there are minimum and maximum suggested target distances, along with suggested target size too.<br />
I feel that the size and distance have to be within the suggested quidelines; there has to be a happy medium somewheres. <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rolleyes:' />

Can't,(due to other commitments, ) promise that all the target and target stand repairs will be accomplished by the next shoot. We can ,however, have them finished by OCT.<br />

I to like bonus targets, but feel they need to count for more then just 5 sec. If you concider the time it takes to reload, aim and shoot, you'll see that that process takes longer then the 5 gained sec a hit brings,. Why take a bonus shoot if you gain nothing. personally I like 10 sec bonus, so you can gain something. That's just me though.

When done with a reload on the clock I agree with Tex. 10 seconds off sounds reasonable. I've seen some stages where, for instance, you shoot 9 rounds on normal distance targets and put the 10th on a far away target. for a 5 second bonus. Either works. You cowboys that have been around for a while, do you remember when Kocheese would put that large Buffalo target Way out there for that great bonus shot? That was fun, then again he had the space.

I tend to agree that a 5 sec. bonus WITHOUT a reload and a 10 sec. bonus WITH a reload are fine. However --- I really DO NOT think that ANY stage should have more then 10 sec. of bonus TOTAL.<br />
YES ---- at Bristol etc, I got "lucky" and have hit all birds or bonuses ---- I just don't think/like a stage that IS REALLY THE MATCH !!! Long time ago , I shot somewhare and on one stage , you could shoot a "negitive" time !!!!!!!!!!! Was told when I asked --- we will just take the time off your next/last stage <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cray.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cray:' /> Glad we don't see much of that kind of "bonuses" <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/clapping.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':clapping:' /> <br />

Also , I see nothing "wrong" with doing a little something {throwing TNT , stabbing a scarecrow} etc. AFTER the buzzer. WHAT SAY YOU ??? Again , not every stage but once in a Blue Moon etc.<br />

I like bonus targets too. The farther out the better. If we could run them back to 100 yards, it'd suit me just fine.... LOL<br />

Lotsa shotgun..... I like it..... Please do this when the weather is cooler. I'd need an ice filled glove to shoot 10 shotgun rounds with The Holy Black during summer...
