Strange looking layout

The website and Hitching Post forum are optimized for a computer monitor with at least 1024 horizontal pixels, which almost all monitors sold in the past few years have. If you are using an older monitor with less horizontal resolution than 1024 pixels you will get some strange placement of pictures and text. Unfortunately, optimizing the site for the lower resolution monitors messes things up for the majority of users. I have tried to strike a compromise that should make the site look best for the majority of users.<br />
