For about 25-30 Cowboys it probably crossed their minds, briefly, that Sycamore was playing an April Fool joke on them. Some arrived around 7 Am or so and others toward 8. About 8 most were on their cell phones getting the bad news that the match was canceled due to "soggy conditions". Vehicles continued to arrive and were told the news. It was tough standing out in that near 60 degree, Sunny/partly cloudy weather, which got even better as they drove home, for some a long way home. Yes, ultimately it was the shooters responsibilty to check the web sight that morning before they left, if they were on line and had they been able to check their e-mail late on Saturday they might have received a notice of the cancellation. These folks did check the weather forcast, probably more than once which all said that Sunday would be Sunny to partly cloudy, high of 65 and no chance of rain until late. That was accurate. I guess they all learned a lesson. Some were able to gas up for $2.59. Could have been worse.
