Ode to Thumper

Sadly, Thumper left today for a new home. I hadn't been feeding him regularly lately, his favorite being Swiss 1 1/2fg, and he just sat in the back of my safe with a forlorn look on his face. Thumper came to me brand, spanking new from the Shiloh Sharps factory and a year later, at his second match, he won first place at 900 yards at the Lodi match - what a boy he was! His bark was 45-110 and his bite was as bad. Certainly not for the faint of heart.<br />

Thankfully, he has been adopted by Big Grit who promised to give him a good home, feed him regularly, and exercise him often. In return I been given visitation and fondling rights. <br />
<br />

Thnik of it as giving your dog to your neighbor. They feed it and clean up after it, but, you still get to pet it!<br />

When I went downstairs this morning, the case with Thumper in it looked like it was closer to the door than where I thought I left it. I think its trying to find its old master. Big Grit
