In the for what it's worth department, we are making progress. It is our idea to do it right the first time and not have to revisit the work that we are doing. Arizona Slick also made it out there the other day and I think he would attest to the amount of work to be done. Also thanks to Coot for showing up again and appreciate whatever help or time that anyone can spare. Can't hurt to be able to find the range for the shoots after you've been out there a time or two.

On another note I think we may have all the necessary materials out there to finish the job at this point, so that means that we don't have to stop on the way out or back to chase materials. Come on out and check out our engineering feats of wonder. We are shielding the entire berm to make ricochets a non-occurrence (that's over 210 feet of berm to cover in the first five stages). Anything worth doing is worth doing to excess.

I would like to come down on 22nd. & 23 rd. to help work on the new range. Please email me and let me know starting times and what tools I should bring. Anxious to see the new place!
All things being equal, we usually start about 9:30 (had been getting out there earlier, but getting up at five to get out ain't happening anymore) in the morning on all days that the weather permits. We have started taking Tuesday off which is why I am around to post this, but again if it ain't raining we're out there. We have most of the tools covered, but if you can fit a wheelbarrow in your vehicle, that might help out. We have a few rakes and shovels out there, but depending on how many show up, you could bring those also.

With the amount of work we have already put in we "old farts" are getting wore down, so there isn't any hard driving at the range anymore. We do the best we can at the pace we can and don't expect anyone else to set any speed records. The grunt work with the rocks can wear you down. We have three of us who have been out there pretty much every day and we will continue to concern ourselves with erecting the metal for the berm shield and then hanging the belting material to cover it. We pretty much have it down to a system that seems to be working for us and one or two helpers in that category makes it go much easier. Anymore people that might make it out there can concern themselves with the Rock removal and perhaps this weekend if enough show up they might be able to put up the stage props.

Everything depends on how many people show up. We figure that there is two more weeks of work left to shield the berm.
On Friday the porta potty was delivered. Devereaux and PTB Wyatt came out to help and we got a lot done but we still have an enormous amount to do before we can hold a match. The outlook for holding a match this month is not good. Two weeks of rain and/or soggy ground really set us back.

We'll be out there working this weekend, so if you'd like to lend a hand we'd sure appreciate it. On Saturday we won't be arriving until almost 10 am.

Many thanks to all we have helped out!
