Spectacular weather! Fun and challenging stages! Many of the good guys in attendance! A really cool cake commemorating the new range! What else could one ask for?<br />

If you are on the fence regarding going out to DGR tomorrow, just get packed and head out there in the AM. You will have a blast -- guaranteed!<br />

Again, a huge thank you to the Thunderbird Kid and all of the Good Guys Posse who worked so diligently to make this happen. <br />
<br />
Unfortunately, I can not go tomorrow but will be in attendance (along with Lt. B. R. Sharps I believe) at the Halloween shoot. And, I'll be going to the GGP banquet during which there will be something special . . . . <br />

Yes it was a great day to be at the first shoot. I can't believe how the boys took that wooded little cove and made a fine range. I want to thank the whole GGP for giving me a pat on the back, + , for helping, but really I did a small part as I saw the sweat they put into it with the heavy manual labor by transforming this woods into a range. I helped because I could help in a way so there could be a place to see my buddys and shoot and have fun,,,,,, that is the cowboy way. Thank you all for the kind words. One thing that has always impressed me about the cowboy shooters is their willingness to help each other. We all pulled together and turned lemons into lemonade. So many stepped forward to offer help in many so ways, I was speechless (really!). It is truly a privilege to be associated with such fine folks. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to the cowboy community for all their support and participation in this endeavor. <br />

A dark cloud once flew over but low and behold a bright sunny sky showed itself.<br />

When all looks dark, look for that small thread of sunshine and all will be well again. <br />
<br />
An old cowboy I once knew told me that when things look bleak, cinch the wood down tight, grab hold of the horn and let her buck. Translation: When the going gets tough the tough get going. <br />
<br />
The new range shows what can happen when a task is taken on by strong willed people with a mission!!!!!!<br />

Just want to add my "Thanks" as well. The range is everything I expected and more!!! You Good Guys really put forth the effort to let all us Cowboys enjoy our sport. I was so excited today that I forgot to bring shotgun shells, but being true to the "Cowboy" way, my good pard "UGLY" was kind enough to offer a box from his private stash. Thanks Jer!!!<br />

If it is possible, Sunday's shoot was even better. The weather was GREAT, the range is BEAUTIFUL and the folks were friendly (as usual). If you haven't figured it out by now, I had a SUPER time at the Sunday shoot. See ya'all next Sunday.<br />
