Invision Power Services has purchased their own servers and will be beginning to move existing hosting customers to our new servers. Due to the recent issue that we experienced with our servers, we are migrating servers more quickly than originally anticipated. Your hosting account will be moved to the new server today January 8, 2008 between 11PM and 6AM EST. You can expect to have down time anywhere between the hours of 11PM and 6AM EST Wednesday morning. There may be some DNS issues until 8AM EST. If you are using an A record for your site you will need to adjust the A record to 208.67.212.35. If you are not using an A record, or do not know what that means, you likely do not need to make any changes and your site will resolve once DNS fully updates. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this server move, please feel free to submit a ticket to the hosting department. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.

OK, everything appears to be back to normal now. But I must say, the Hitching Post seems a lot "snappier" now.<br />

The pictures, though. They are just spectacular. Every time I come to the site I am amazed at how good they look!

You'll also see some changes in the photos on the photo site before long. I've been working on them for the past month or so and moving them to a new host. Mainly because the present host is making changes that will require my issuing an "invitation" to each and every person I want to see the photos. That is overbearing and will exclude all those lurkers who are just cruising the site. You can look at what I've done so far here. The password remains "goodguys". I still have more photos to move over and almost all of the captions to do yet. But the photos should be sharper with more "punch" than at the previous site.<br />
