?So where the heck to do you keep your weapons. I believe last time I looked, Wilmette was one of the really nasty towns that didn't allow ANY ownership of guns (like Chicago, which has become a beacon of peacefulness after that move).

Thanks to everone for the warm welcome... as to the Wilmette "question's".... the Village discoverd a thing called the 2nd Amentment (this all came to a head after the SAME home was invaded TWICE by the SAME burglar and the homeowner shot the burglar on the second attempt)! After all the national & international "press" the State of Illinois passed a law that pre-empted all local anti-gun laws when guns are used in home defense. Add the fact that the law is a ordance, the upcoming Supreme Court case in spring and it appears that most such laws are in deep doo-doo. Santa Fe Jim

You just never know with a bunch of judges, not to mention it will take years for the court battles locally to put down the remainder of all the crap that's on the books in various municipalities.

It's always good when the good guys win one. Still, one should worry about this upcoming Supreme Court case. As JJ said, we are talking about a bunch of unelected judges, many of whom have had visions of grandeur in their heads. What is pretty much obvious to most regular people somehow becomes "issue" with a judge.<br />

I like the opinion that was written by the 3rd circuit, but unfortunately, it isn't quite what is facing the Supreme court.
