That's a wrap! Thanks for a great season. See you all next year!

We should be shooting 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday again next year.

Final schedule to be finalized in February.

"Stamp" Question

Can it be done?
Tooth,
I got my rig I won at the LA shoot from Kirkpatrick. Can my "Pair-A-Dice" stamp I got from Big Ed at San Pedro Saddlery be applied to the belt even after it has been finished? The belt is plain, the holsters are hand carved with spots. The shotgun belt matches.

Thanks!
On finished goods the stamp normally would not look as good as if it was stamped on virgin leather. I would suggest that you try and stamp it in a spot that's not noticeable to the eye. If it looks decent then go for it.

Thanks for the advice. What is the best way to "stamp" this thing with. The stamd/die/whatever you call it is bigger than a silver dollar. Does it require some type holder??
Thanks for any suggestions.
Predicated on the construction of the die, will dictate the method for using it to impregnate the leather.
I would not hit it with a hammer. You may peen over the metal and in time it would lose it's functionality. I hope this was helpful. If you want I will do it for you.

"impregnate the leather"??!!?? Hmmm.... I don't think I want to go there.
  • Thank you! That would be most kind of you sir! I'll call you this week and talk about it.
Thanks again,
Denny,
You keep your pregnate leather to yourself! On second thought, maybe that much leather would go around me.
