That's a wrap! Thanks for a great season. See you all next year!

We should be shooting 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday again next year.

Final schedule to be finalized in February.

New Holsters

From the master of leather himself! Thanks, Tooth!<br />

This also gives me the chance to show off my new ivory grips!<br />

    Thank you for the advertising. I'm sure a few people who are going to see this are going to be pissed at me because I was unable to make holsters for them. Enjoy them and If I might make a suggestion-- Use the bottom holster in the picture as your cross draw. It seems to have a tad more kick then the upper one. <br />

    You would think tooth would have given me credit for catching that big toothy lizard for him. <br />
    <br />
    Sure has some nice soft skin after Tooth got through putting it into the holsters. I'm afraid if I had those holsters I might not be able to shoot a match, as I'd be sitting on the guncart stroking them and not wanting to get up to shoot.
  • Don't let Denny hear that! He thinks if he fondles and strokes the leather too much he'll have to get longer barrels for his Colt's. <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/clapping.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':clapping:' /> Grit

    Say, Denny! ?What 'er those silver things in the middle of the IVORY grips. ?You wouldn't have ruined a perfectly wonderful piece of ivory with a screw, now would you.

    As I recall, yours have screws, too. Didn't want to make you feel bad.<br />

    Between you and JJ, you are providing mountains of material that just screams for a reply. But being the gentleman I am, I won't give in to the temptation.

    Take a picture send it to your desktop. Drag it to your email and drop. 101 Apple. At least that's what the Apple Guru says.

    Hmmm... For some reason I thought yours did have screws. I have a set of fake ivory grips that I made into one piece grips. I liked them but the constant battering of recoil caused them to loosen. Raj also told me that glue does not adhere to the ivory as well as it does to other materials. Also to protect the grips, I'd decided to remove the grips whenever I did a major cleaning on the guns - that is a pain with one piece grips. The bottom line is that while I originally wanted one piece grips, I decided to take Raj up on his offer to shoot them for awhile before I make a final decision. To his credit, I can go back and have him make the one piece grips for me.

    To screw of not to screw that is the question? Humm-big decision. <br />
    <br />
    Looks---quite attractive<br />
    <br />
    Functionality--- dubious<br />
    <br />
    Aiming---????????<br />
    <br />
    Well-when all is said and done, and the scores are posted who had the least misses the one piece or the two piece--that's up for grabs.<br />
    <br />
    Look'n good is one thing. Hit'n steel another.<br />
    <br />
    Since Sass is implementing so many new rules and classes to shoot in, I think we should have a new class. Those who screw and those who don't.

    Might be a large class considering how many old cusses we have shooting <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/goodguy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':goodguy:' />

    Figures. All this talk about screwing or not, after the Rough Riders have confiscated my screw drivers. <br />
    <br />
    Also, on my lightnings, my pair has the screws and my daughter's does not. What's that mean? As I told Raj mine didn't matter but no screws on my daughter's guns. I guess it must be a father thing. <br />
