That's a wrap! Thanks for a great season. See you all next year!

We should be shooting 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday again next year.

Final schedule to be finalized in February.

Lead Bullet Bulk order discount

There has been some inquiries about the possibility of a bulk order discount from SNS Casting.<br />
Jim Stinar, who plans to be at The OPSC April 23rd Cowboy match, told me that orders of at least 20,000 lead bullets would be dicounted 15%.

  • well that sounds good but what is the price on 45LC, 15% off is good if it off a low price I pay about $19-21 depending on supplier for 500 and 10% off on 1000 at gun show. <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whistling:' />
  • How close are we to the 20,000?? <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':huh:' />

    Only had one person respond to my offer to pick up the bullets. So we are a long way off of 20,000. I wanted three and DD wanted to try a thousand so that's 4,000 total. However, if you look at his regualr prices, he's pretty cheap to begin with. We're leaving early tomorrow (before 5AM), so anybody wanting in better give me an e-mail with your order. I'll try and remember to check my e-mail just before we leave.<br />

    I'm up to 7,000 bullets, but I seriously doubt that we'll qualify for the quantity discount. I'll check back before I leave in the morning.

  • Is there a chance that other clubs can order from SNS? We are a Va club of SASS and IDPA members that would love to get cheaper lead or plated bullets.<br />

    Is Jim Stinar S & S casting? If he is, Where is he located. From the add in the chronicle he has an 815 area code but I can find no listing for S & S Casting.<br />

  • Ted, <br />
    He is a couple of hours south of here on 39. Nice guy! Back in April on our way back from Mississippi we stopped and bought 8,000 .358/125 from him. They shoot more consistant than anything I have used in a long time. The base is long and the nose is short and round. The deep seat puts the bullet right on top of the powder, making them have a very consistant velocity. My 2 cents. I have info on him if you need it. I told Dam Road Mike about him and I think Mike is going to order from him. If your rifle is length sensitive, it may not like these because they are short nosed.<br />
    <br />
    If you need long nose, I have a friend who makes bullets in MS, called Parson's Pills. They have a long nose. I got 2000 from him back in November when we were down there. I have not shot any yet but everybody I talked to down there shoots them. Let me know and I will give you some of mine to try.<br />

  • Did anyone checked on his prices?<br />
    <br />
    Is anyone buying from him...or is anyone interested to buy from him? Group buy?

    A word to the wise gentlemen... This thread got started TWO YEARS AGO, so the prices are obviously outdated. I suppose it's possible for someone to start reading this and think those prices are current. <br />
    <br />
    I would suggest that whoever talks to Jim next (SNS Casting) might post his current prices or have him do so. In the past I believe he would sometimes make it up here to one or two of the local shoots fulfilling orders that he would take prior to the shoots. Don't know if he still does.

    Now that our range is closer to him, maybe he might set up his wares at one of our matches.
