WOW! What a great year!

We had a fine match today with a fine turnout. Many thanks to all our shooters. A fitting end to our first full year at Dry Gulch Ranch.<br />
<br />
Thanks to OPBC Coot, we managed to make it through the 2008 shooting season with hardly a sprinkle of rain. Way to go Coot, just keep sacrificing those chickens at dawn up on the hill and all will be well. I do believe that this is the first full season for the Posse that we have not had a single match either rained out or made miserable by the weather. Somebody must be looking out for us.<br />

We are grateful to our sponsors and all the folks who have come out to shoot with us this year and we look forward to seeing you again next year. We hope to continue building props to cover the last three stages and constantly make improvements on the range. <br />
<br />
Today was our Halloween shoot and there were many interesting costumes around - especially the Gay Blade, saber and all! I'll have photos of these scary critters posted in a day or so. We were also pleased that the Boy Scouts were able to come out and fix hot dogs, hamburgers & brats for lunch. I hope they are able to return next year.<br />

Yes thanks to Coot for getting us through the entire season without a rainout. Much better than MGS who handed the job off to him. Thanks to those who tirelessly came and set up and tore down for every shoot (Wyatt and others). Thanks to the Grit and Asleep for the new targets and stage set ups. Thanks to our prop builders and on and on. <br />

If you shall recall, under my tutiliage of the weather, we never had any snow OR ice, and I do not recall any rainouts either. I'll be a waitin on ya Muddy. And we did have a couple of rainouts at Kocheese's range, but none since moving to Rob's in Winnebago. Coot did this for us in spite of the education you gave him when you turned the job over to him. <br />

Hey, I know you have finished your CAS "season" back there in the midwest but we shoot all year round out here in the Rockies. If anyone wants to come out and shoot, I can take you to a shoot close to Colorado Springs on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month.
