As 2008 draws to a close, I'd like to wish each and every one of you a Happy and Prosperous New Year and thank all of our shooters for their support. We've had some unfortunate political and economic setbacks in our Great Nation, but I have faith that things will not be as horrible as the "drive-by" press would have us believe.<br />

The Good Guys Posse just finished our first full season at our new range and a great year it was - no rainouts or other weather problems. I can hardly believe that we have now held as many matches at Dry Gulch Ranch as we held at the other range. Despite the high gas prices, our attendance was on a par with the other area clubs. Gas should be more reasonable in 2009 so we look forward to seeing many old and new faces at our matches. <br />

We have plans for continued improvements at the range, including splatter shields between stages, more stage props and a lot of little niceties we were not able to get around to in 2008. We hope the Boy Scouts once again will come out to grill lunch, but please don't plan on it unless we announce it in advance as they must come all the way from Zion and may not always be able to make it..<br />
<br />
Although plans are not final at this point, Jeweler Jim is planning on having a SASS Scholarship Shoot to benefit the SASS Scholarship program which has supported some of our members in their education, including Pumpkin, Leadfoot Lizzie & Sicilian Kid. We felt that whatever we could do to help the scholarship program would be a worthwhile project - stay tuned for details later in the season.<br />
