Huckleberry Hurt In Car Accident

I just got a email that Huckleberry and Asleep at the Wheel were rear-ened by a drunk driver whlie on their way to Winter Range. Huck said he spent the nite in the hospital for whiplash (I am guessing Asleep at the Wheel was not hurt as Huck did not mention same). He said his car & trailer was totaled.<br />

Lets all wish him a speedy recovery and send him a joke or twoo!<br />

Naturally, I hope they're OK with no lasting effects other than to the car and trailer. With all the guns, ammo, and gear they were carrying, I'd like to see the police report. We'll wait for war stories.

You can always replace metal and rubber. Glad to hear that they are alright. F--k'n drunks should have pulled a gun and shot the SOB. My opinion.

I don't think Huck's email is confidential so I'll give you what I got from Huck "himself"... (I had emaied him a "good=luck" for Winter Range)<br />

"Sorry to say Jeff and I left at 4:30am and got past Bloomington IL at 7:15am and were rear-ended by a wasted drunk doing over 85mph. Totaled out truck and trailer and I went to hospital with whiplash. I am going to a specialist on Tuesday to make sure my neck will be ok.. Needless to say.... no winter range for us.... happy to be alive.... I thank Jesus I am."<br />

Huck, I'm really glad you guys weren't hurt. I can feel your pain over getting whacked by a stinkin drunk because the same thing happened to me when we lived in Denver about 35 years ago only we were on a motorcycle stopped at a stoplight.<br />
