Well, my guess is that it is some kind of insert into a rifle. Like the firing section. It has a rifle-like bolt, and an area for a magazine forward of the trigger guard, and a set trigger. None of that makes sense for a pistol, but lots for a rifle.

I wouldn't normally put up an imaginary gun here but I was intrigued with the design. The grips are very nice and the two triggers had me scratching my head. Whoever designed and built the prop was obviously a gun nut.<br />

I must admit that I'm having a tough time finding things you folks don't already know about!
