That's a wrap! Thanks for a great season. See you all next year!
We should be shooting 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday again next year.
Final schedule to be finalized in February.
Well, how did the weekend go? Wondering who did what out in Monmouth.
I behaved and I still ain't recovered yet. Have to go up, unload the van, oil/blow out the guns and generally straighten out all my crap. Two day shoots let me know that I belong in "Senior" category, not for the competition, but because of the pain after. Sicilian Kid had one stage where the third cartridge in the 66 completely separated about an eighth inch from the rim of the case, so the gun jammed and wouldn't load after that. Got him seven misses and prevented him from shooting the bonus target along with the delay figuring out that he wasn't going to get the rifle to cycle. Learning to shoot Lizzie's Marlin was interesting; I guess you should probably fire the guns you're going to use at a match before hand. Instead of loading it for the first time and then being asked "Is the shooter ready?" Might not be a bad little gun once you get use to it.
Grit, Gus & Farmer John camped out at the range and got a lotta wood at this week end. Everybody got wood at the shoot. Did I mention that all the awards were all made out of wood? See, all your evil minds when somewhere else didn't they. Really too much to keep track of, so I'll wait for the scores to be posted and put a link on the wire here.

I have also camped there with Grit and Gus. That falls into the category of what happens there stays there. Fun though, tons of laughs, great shoot and great food.
