Muddy Gap Shootist

Who would've thought it could happen? THE Muddy Gap Shootist got his first clean match ever this past Saturday down at the Rockvale, CO Gun Club. The Rockvale Bunch has a 6-stage western town and the stages are always fun and a tad challenging but somehow I was able to prevail. Didn't go too slow either nor do I ever shoot those wimpy loads so I have a feeling of great satisfaction. Anyway, just needed to tell my GGP friends the good news.....

I also managed to get a few of them this year for the first time. Beloit instituted a "Clean Match Coin" to reward the shooters who do it and as it is rather nice it has gotten over one hundred clean shooters since they started it.<br />

I heard that all their targets were 3 foot squares at 5 yards. But congratulations anyway!!

Thanks, Wyatt. Boy was I nervous on that last stage! They had a Texas star with fairly small plates to shoot. Anyway, sure was a good time on a beautiful Colorado day.

You're wrong about the egg timer! They're currently using a sundial or on cloudy days they do have a larger version of an hour glass (three hours) which I guess you could say is a larger version of an egg timer.
