That's a wrap! Thanks for a great season. See you all next year!
We should be shooting 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday again next year.
Final schedule to be finalized in February.
Stoney Mike Spanked Me...
Well he got his two dollars back in spades. Actually I spanked myself... <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/disgust.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':disgust:' />
First stage (using my daughter's guns while she's at school) loaded up the pistols and went to holster them and the one piece grips came apart. Unloaded that gun and got a replacement pistol and loaded that one, but forgot to change into my shooting glasses. Was all discombobulated and should have let the shooter behind me go to the line. Went to the line anyway and shot the first pistol without getting a good sight picture and when I went to holster I missed. ALL DONE NOW. Only had one miss he rest of the shoot, but it took three stages to settle down after I dropped the gun. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Looks like a trip to Eagle Grips this next week.

I was having a good day too until you paid me the money. All the extra weight of your money in my hatband threw off my equilibrium and made me have TWO procedurals on the rest of the day.
Oh by the way you might want to talk to your score keeper. When using total time for scoring, a stage DQ is scored as 5 seconds for every target available for that stage, plus 30 seconds. The only time the 999.99 (Match DQ) is used is when using rank points. the Stage DQ in the rank system is 999.00 (ROI instructors manual page 25). No big deal really but it will bring your score in under the thousand mark. I think that brings you stage down to the 150.00 mark for that stage.
Take care and hopefully you'll come out to Beloit in Nov. so we can come up with a new wager.
PS thank for all the work giving us fun shoots all year.
Mike,
I use the SASS Premier scoring software and in it the stage DQ is 999.90. So, in order for the program to behave properly I will continue to do so. <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sorry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':sorry:' />
It is kind of funny that SASS software doesn't follow its own guidelines between rank point and total time. Is this a setting that you can change? Since not all stages use the same amount of targets the penalties would change depending. Or is the 999.00 hardwired in? If so I wouldn't worry about it at all.
We use the Round-Up scoring system at Beloit (or at least my Dad uses it!) It lets us set the appropriate penalties and bonuses on the fly. I think it was a free program too.
Again, I have absolutely no problem with the way you do things, and I look forward to shooting at your range for many years to come.
I understand fully. I was just explaining why I do what I do. It's hardwired in to the software, so unless I went in and calculated how many misses and such, it will be 999.90. It is strange that it would work that way. Especially since it is advertised in the Chronicle.
