End of another season...

Was gonna throw something up here last night, but the weather report said tired, followed by sleepy out and I didn't get to it.<br />

First things first. A big thank you to all our shooters for all their support this year. We will endeavor to continue the improvement of the range making our shoot the most fun to attend. Next spring will hopefully not be as wet and we'll get more done.<br />

A big thank you to Dollie Dice and Denise for checking everyone in at the registration tables for all the shoots. Denise even managed to get it done at the last match with SK helping her. Being my normal disorganized self I shudder to think what check in would be like without them. <br />
<br />
While we expect more from our Rough Riders I would like to put something out there that most don't know. A perfect example of what one RR does all the time is the fact that at our last shoot I put out the cowboy signs and managed to get to the range about 6:40 AM. There was that single car that is always in the parking lot when I pull in. The trailer was opened up, the tables were set up and many other little chores were completed. When I asked Wyatt what the he11 time he got out there, the smart a** said he slept in the trailer, but nobody beats Wyatt out there in the morning. He does more than many of the other RR's put together. He deserves to be wearing his Regulator Badge. Thanks Wyatt. <br />

I just realized that I could save the rest of the thank you's for the banquet. For those not attending I will say that we couldn't ask for a better land lord or "partner" in putting on the shoots. <br />

Yes, Wyatt certainly goes "above and beyond." Thanks for all you do, Wyatt! Also, many thanks to JJ for all his efforts - at 6:40 my heart hasn't even started pumping yet. Without the Rough Riders and the others who help out, the shooters who support us and a very accommodating landlord, we wouldn't have the great club and fine range we now enjoy. Cowboys & cowgirls are great folks!<br />

Well some how i missed this post earlier.Let's not kid our selves folks.First off a big thanks goes out to all the folks who come out to join us at our range. With out your support, there would be no range. So again, a big thanks to you all.As far as the RR go there are 12 of us, and we all have jobs to do.On our work day out here one has to run to keep up with JJ.Some days you have to pry his fingers off the walking mower. And many a day Coot's on the rider under the blazing sun. And i don't where we'd be with out Popper's trailer.And Denny, Denny's work never ends.And nobody gets the results on the board faster than SK.And the beat goes on, hope you all join us again next year.

Its hitting finals time here at college and when I saw this I had to take a break from my papers and studying to say I do not know how you all do it. I want to thank everyone for coming out to all our shoots!!! I know that the RR are one of the greatest group of people I could have ever asked to know. They have really shown me what respect, hard work and dedication really does. I have formed such wonderful friendships with so many shooters and I owe that to my father and SASS. If it wasn't for my father I would have never met the people I have and gotten to be involved in such a great sport and organization. Meeting so many people from all over the place and hearing all about how they got started really makes me think of when I started in high school and never did I think that SASS and everyone involved would impact my life like they have. From the scholarships and references letters that I ask for I am so thankful for all that SASS and my fellow shooters have given me. Soon to be graduating college I can not believe how fast high school and college has flown right by. Thank you to everyone who has helped me over the years in every-way whether it be with school or shooting. You are all a bunch of amazing people!!!
