That's a wrap! Thanks for a great season. See you all next year!

We should be shooting 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday again next year.

Final schedule to be finalized in February.

Another Fine Banquet

Yes, another fine banquet to close the 2009 shooting season. The food was great as usual and we had super, attentive service from Sharon and crew. Sharon served us last year and had so much fun with us that she arranged to do it again this year - thanks, Sharon!

Also, many thanks to all the folks who donated prizes for our raffle and to Mrs. Jeweler Jim, Mrs. Saguaro Kid and Dollie Dice for their decorations.

Shamrock presented the Good Guys Posse Class Championship awards and Jeweler Jim got the horse's patoot trophy - you'll have to ask him why! Thunderbird Kid and Kid Lightning were honored for their generous help with the range. We are fortunate that our landlords do not accept any rent for our operation.

Once again, we managed to get all of our regular shoots and the SASS Scholarship shoot in even though we suffered through several monumental floods and 2 rescheduled matches. It all worked in the end due to the dedicated efforts of the Rough Riders and the Posse.

Thanks everyone for a fine showing!!
I'd like to second everything DD said. The three girls helped a great deal towards making the prize table a little more female friendly.

Especially grateful to our landlord for his help. As you all know we do not have the financial support that all the other clubs have with an active rifle range backing them up. Rob has refused any monies. It's not that we don't manage a few dollars to the good, it's just that things like insurance and other expenses seem to eat up most of the shooter's fees that we take in.

I hope everyone had a good time and will try and find an appropriate place to place my "Horse's Patoot" trophy.
Speaking of rewards... Every year we come up with some sort of premium for the banquet and this year it was the cups. Most of you saw that we sold a few of them at the shoots and reserved the bulk of them for the banquet. Some of you were disappointed by the fact that we sold out at the shoots rather quickly. Well we now have <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/clapping.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':clapping:' /> TWO DOZEN cups <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/clapping.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':clapping:' /> left as extra from the banquet. For those that wanted them and didn't get them at the shoots; get a hold of DD or myself and we'll try and take care of it for you. First come, first served.
Well I have to go now... I think it's time for my meds. Wanted to shoot Bristol today, but the mind was willing and the body wasn't. <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cray.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cray:' />
 • There's not much one can add here about the banquet. When you see the banquet room full of people it's when you realize how much it looks like a family reunion. And thats what we are here in the good guys posse, for many of us, is family. And a big round of applause to Denny and that side kick of his , that crouchy old man, Jewler Jim.Thanks guy's for being there.
