That's a wrap! Thanks for a great season. See you all next year!

We should be shooting 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday again next year.

Final schedule to be finalized in February.

A very interesting "Whatisit"

dddd Gnome, gnome on the range!
OK, let's get some opinions on what this is. First to get the right answer wins a free 6-inch snowfall in January. Second place is a 12-inch snowfall.
I don't know about you, Mike. If I didn't know better, I'd think you were reading my mind - what little there is left. But it was .52 caliber (you were .02 off there!). They say:

.52 caliber, 9 1/2-inch braided leather-covered barrel with brass frame and underhammer action. Folding trigger. Brass escutcheon on grip with coat-of-arms and legend: Day's Patent/P. Hubbard 26 Newgate St. Gun with braided whip attached, measuring 136 inches. One-piece walnut grip.
Many good closeup photos here.
PS - You win the 6-inch snowfall! It will be delivered to your driveway shortly.

Well Denny, sometimes when I'm on the couch with the wife and she's watching something I don't like I'll get out one of my big books. Last night I was reading "The Encyclopedia of Modern Weaponry" for the millionth time. The Hubbard was in there. Funny thing you would ask the question the next day.
Regards,
Would this be the origin of the term, "pistol whipped"?

Damn Mike, you must have had to think about that one. It took you a whole nine minutes to come up with the right answer. Gonna have to work on that!
• I suppose that if someone were to check out how frequently I log in to this sight they'd find I check it A LOT for new messages. Not to mention when I check from school on my lunch break in the computer lab. You never know when something important will pop. Or the occasional Pop Quiz.
OK, Mike, is this in your book?
• Well.... judging by the fact that those cans have pull tabs on them instead of Pop-tops , I'd say we have an antique, non-alcoholic non-operational total waste of time! It it don't go bang it ain't no fun!!
