No offense to those south of the Beloit-Rockton line, but I'm hoping we Cheeseheads get our concealed carry law faster than you Friendly Illinois Bumpkins. We all know the flood of refugees fleeing the uncontrolled wanton wild west violence that starts whenever a formerly unarmed state gets concealed carry permit law becomes an overwhelming burden upon the adjacent states. I don't want southern Wisconsin fields to turn into tent cities full of people from Freeport, Rockford and Harvard. I'd rather we get our law first so you have to deal with expatriates from Milwaukee and Madison.
Wisconsin had to endure the sudden rush of Upper Peninsula victims flooding our northern counties when Michigan got their law. We had to suffer the hordes of pitiful beaten Minnesotans with the haunted looks in their eyes, reflecting the relentless bloodbaths of countless street gunfights they endured until they made it across the Mississippi River into Wisconsin, and even though we shared the few surviving refugees of Iowa who barely made it out of their state alive, with the help of several National Guard Units, after the hellholes that blood-soaked Dubuque and Davenport became when Iowa got their concealed carry law, I think Wisconsin has done more of it's fair share of rescue work and is better prepared than Illinois to face the onslaught of hordes of malcontents armed with highly concealable fully automatic Saturday Night Special machine pistols that always appear in the wake of a CCW bill being signed into law.
If any of you Land-of-Lincoln lovers disagree with this post, I suggest we settle it the old fashioned way. We put Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle and Chicago Mayor Richard Daley in a dark room each with a bag of hand grenades, and whomever makes it out alive - their state is the loser.
