<div class="IPBDescription">From Father Jim...</div>Where to begin?<br />
<br />
As some of you know I've gotten back into chasing a dollar with a little more serious effort. Well I have a partner in the gold buying business and also carry a number of loose stones for sale in the partnership. Anyway, two of the loose stones are Alexandrites which is a rather rare and expensive "color change" stone. In incandescent light it's purple and in sun light it's green. The stronger the color change and the clearer the stone the more expensive it is. So a lady wanted to look at the larger of the two stones and my partner decided to show her the color change in the sun light. Took it outside the shop and... Yep you guessed it! Tripped in a little depression in the lawn and the stone went flying into the long grass with no close idea where it landed. <img src='

<br />
So Sicilian Kid comes up with the idea to take propane torches and burn the grass to the bare ground and try to find it that way. Three grown men with torches burning the grass for five hours and other people stopping wondering what the He77 we're doing <img src='

Comment most often heard was "I'll pray to this one or that one and you'll find it." Well as of last night; no stone found. Again today we had the troops out looking with no success. Then the rain, maybe that will help. And also more I'll pray for you.<br />
<br />
Got a call tonight from my partner and he says, <img src='

<br />
So who was the last one that got prayed to and which one was the one that let us lose it to begin with??? Whatever happened it was found dead center in the middle of the burned area. Frankly I figured it was a goner and was just glad I wasn't the one who lost it. <br />
<br />
<br />
Just one of the many fun things that went down this week. It's been a very very long one.<br />
<br />
So whether it was the "burn offerings" <img src='
http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/recourse.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':recourse:' /> while we were burning the grass in an about a six foot square or the prayers of the people who stopped or just plain dumb luck I'll let you decide. <br />

The last three months I've spent talking to insurance people regarding the renewal of our insurance should we be sued. If I have to start providing info with one more company I'll puke. <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/diablo.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':diablo:' />
