That's a wrap! Thanks for a great season. See you all next year!
We should be shooting 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday again next year.
Final schedule to be finalized in February.
For the most part Ive always used double action wheel guns or autos.
Being Im looking around for single actions is there an issue with used guns usually?
Some of the smaller shops have a desent selection in good shape it seems
Why don't you come to a shoot, and handle some of the guns that the Cow Hands are using and make up your mind later. That way, maybe you'll have to make that investment only once.

I know that I did quite a bit of research when I first started, and the only piece of equipment that I don't shoot now on a regular basis is my first rifle. I replaced it after about 3 years shooting for something that works a lot better.
Some of the "Gun Shop" owners will sell you anything they have in stock and may not be the best equipment for the game. It's not that they are there to cheat you, it is just that they are not Cowboy Action Shooters.
Good Luck,
You might also want to look at Taylor and Co. "smoke wagon" revolvers in the deluxe version (comes already tuned). Johnny McCrae has a pair and I have shot with them. They were some of the best I've ever used and are Colt clones. You can view at Taylor's website. I M Portly.
