That's a wrap! Thanks for a great season. See you all next year!

We should be shooting 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday again next year.

Final schedule to be finalized in February.

Seems Like I'm Always Apologizing...

For those who didn't notice, the elevator wasn't hitting the top floor for me today (not that it ever does). By the time the match was over and before we started the side matches I was already dehydrated. So as DD says make sure you drink plenty of water. And for that I guess I have to apologize also as we ran out of water. Normally go through about three cases, but we went through over six today and I thought we had enough. Again, my thinking is less than good.

I was sufficiently out of it to the point that I found four dining gift certificates for the Grand Victoria Casino that I never put out or gave away. So here's what we'll do with those: top man and woman shooters were Krooked River Outlaw and Turkey Legs so we'll give each one of them a certificate and the two "MIDDLE" shooters were Gus and Marshall Magoo and we'll give each of them one of the certificates also. Problem solved.

Again' I'm sorry some had to leave before we got the side matches in and after we got the first few shooters through it started to run a little smoother. And if you left early...

Johnny Popper won the pendant/fob. Snideley came in third this year and even bought three shots instead of one.

Also, as I can't seem to remember to announce that the clean shooters get the free mug so be sure to get one if you were one of those that forgot also. Nine clean shooters and only three got their cup. Not sure who didn't get theirs so youre on your honor.

We took in $1,387.00 if I counted it right so I'm thinking we'll send Fourteen Hundred just like we did the first time.

Again, thanks for your support and your patience.

Time to quit typing as everything is cramping up even after drinking about a gallon of that electrolyte stuff. Still down eight pounds in water weight loss after drinking all that crap.
That's "Snidely" (this time I did a screen capture). The sun was making cowboys other than you lightheaded. I drove off and forgot the hat I've been trying to sell. I almost made it to Highway 70 before I remembered. I heard someone suggest it might be better to have the Scholarship match in October, when it's cooler. I don't know if that would conflict with other clubs, but it might be worth considering as the match will almost always run longer than regular ones with the side matches.
Thanks to you and all the other Good Guys who worked on the scholarship match. It's great to have a fun with guns AND contribute to society at the same time.
Congratulations to Johnny Popper. I had expected to pick up the grand prize to have a matching set, but at least we're keeping them in the Cheesehead "family".
Well "Snidely" The only down side to going that late is we then have no dates to reschedule too.

Think I'll try going back to bed although the dog doesn't like my yelping and kicking her when the cramps start.
  • Great shoot and I'm glad you hold this event for the SASS Scholarship to help our Jr members. As for the weather.... it wasn't raining and that's all that counts. Next year has a 5th sunday in July and September.
Thanks to all for a great day of shooting. No apologizing needed.

How about a December or January Scholarship Shoot? (First Sunday it doesn't snow...) <img src='http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whistling:' />
1. No conflicts with other clubs.
2. Draw more shooters for novelty value of the match.
3. Neighbors not in the fields.
4. Extra revenue - sell hot chocolate, gun cart "sleigh bells, have a $5.00 upcharge for a GGP member to run the space heater in the outhouse for 2 minutes before you use it.
Found another one of those dollar coins on the floor by the cash box and after redoing the math the deposit came to $1,389.00

The Posse Treasury will cut a check for fourteen hundred and send it off by tomorrow.
  • Thank you all for doing this. I had an awesome time. It was a great shoot with some really interesting side matches.
