Who would have thought...........only the 49th state to think it is OK for ordinary people to carry a gun! What about that last state???...........Which one is it that dosen't trust gun owners or politicians????????????????<br />

Congratulations, Dice! I mailed my app in on the morning of Nov. 1st. I'm checking my mailbox and online banking account daily. Now that it doesn't matter any more, can you recommend any particular training courses which includes a range component?<br />

Perhaps we Cheese-heads could attend some FIB concealed carry rallies and meetings to put more warm bodies and faces in sight of the media. After all, we have a vested interest in Illinois getting a permit law and having reciprocity with Wisconsin - we have to drive through Illinois to get to a lot of good states.<br />

My permit showed up in Saturday's mail. Earlier this week Channel 3 said the DOJ has received 30,000 applications so far and processed 3600 of them. I think they are going to have to start working weekends and/or putting in some overtime or shifting more staff to permit work to meet the 45 day deadline for November applications.<br />

I go #243x and I mailed it at the main PO in Madison at 6:30 am Nov 1. First Sunday of the month, the Open Carry group have a meet and greet at Starbucks in Delavan. Went to the last one, interesting group. Anyone else wants to go, e-mail me.
