You may want to mention to whomever bought your gun that if used for SASS the recoil pad is not permitted...

I'm going to have to agree with Rangler Wrich on this one, Muddy. The rule book plainly says that permanently fitted, lace-on or slip-on recoil pads are allowed on both shotgun or rifle buttstocks.. The only thing that can't be used is adjustable ones.

I concur E Z. However, if it one of those modern hard rubber kind that you slip over the butt or if it glued/attached to the butt, that is strictly not allowed in the SASS rules handbook. So, it really depends on what kind it is.
