Our old friend Jailbird has passed

I do not know the details as I don't have contact with Donna or his daughter Rebecca anymore but my brother inlaw told me that the Bird had a heart attack last week and has passed into Gunfighter Heaven.<br />
Jerry was a good friend and one of the most unique people I have ever known.<br />
If you think the Jailbird outfit was hard to walk into McDonalds after a shoot with him wearing, how about the day we hit the streets after the halloween shoot with him wearing that COW outfit! Get it.... a COWboy. I use to say to folks.... we were with the Circus or Rodeo.<br />
I will miss the Bird.<br />

    Bad news... A good man with a strong and as Huck said unique character.<br />

    He took a shine to my kids and helped them starting out when neither had ever fired a gun before. He saw that it would be better for a stranger to show and teach them rather than their "old man." I was forever in his debt for his help and teachings in that area. Know that I'm sure that my kids where not the only ones he helped and showed the way to (young and old). <br />

    Services for "Jailbird" Jerry will be held from Noon to 4PM at the McHenry Moose Lodge #691 which I believe is just before Johnsburg Rd. on the left or west side of Rt. 31<br />

    Sorry Huck, having one of my brain fades... Saturday the 23rd the day before our next shoot.
