That's a wrap! Thanks for a great season. See you all next year!

We should be shooting 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday again next year.

Final schedule to be finalized in February.

Special thanks from a rookie!

Pardners, this here is the Shamrock Shootist (Sass #66513) not to be confused with the original Good Guys Posse member named Shamrock whom I have met and who is a great guy, with a rapier wit, sturdy character, and unerring eye (we Irish stick together)!

I am posting this as a way of saying THANKS to all of the Good Guys Posse members and SASS members who welcomed my wife (Sweetchaps, SASS # 66514) and I to the match at Kocheese Kanyon on Saturday. Your group is well-named and we are appreciative of the warm welcome and comaraderie you people showed us.

A special thanks to Jeweler Jim for his e-mails off and on this past year as Sweetchaps and I got outfitted for SASS. And Wrangler Rich helped me with that dang shotgun (not my favorite firearm). Thanks Wrangler! I'm slower with a shotgun than molasses rolling uphill - so slow, in fact, that you could order out for pizza and have it delivered by the time I knocked down the target!

Lawman Wolf did a great job organizing that posse and a tip of my cowboy hat to each and every one of you! Sweetchaps and I hope to join the Good Guys Posse sometime in the future and make it "official" with your permission. As we live in Crystal Lake we hope to shoot with you often, and in Sycamore as well.

PS - for those of you I haven't met yet, you won't have to worry about getting me confused with Shamrock as he is taller than me, funnier, smarter, and knows how to shoot a shotgun!

Best wishes to all!
The Shamrock Shootist

Glad you could make it out to the match! It's also good to know that Crystal Lake has other cowboy shooters besides Grampa Sixguns and myself. Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you personally as I was hobbling around on my bum knee and didn't get a chance to shoot the match.

Take care and hope to see you out there again,
• It was most certainly a pleasure to have you and your Mrs with us this weekend. Watching you folks having a great time is all the thanks we need. Would be more than happy to see you both become members of this terrific group as the spirit you both brought with you is what makes this such a fine group. See you soon.

Keep on coming out and keep on having a good time! Most of us never get fast enough to win, so we basically come to enjoy - the socializing, the gunsmoke, the smart comments, and on Sunday (sometimes) even the lunch! And don't be shy - if there's something you aren't sure of or don't understand or want explained, just ask. Unlike some disciplines, people here are not so full of themselves that they don't talk - me, sometimes too much.

It's good to have another Irishman in the group. Welcome!! A clean stage at your first match is a great milestone. Next time have a new goal. You will not find a better group of guys and gals to shoot with at the Good Guy Posse.
Regards,
