I found a link to an interesting article about mandatory training for CCW in the May issue of Soldier of Fortune magazine. On page 36 in the article Gun Free Zone Stupidity Part 3 (an interesting read in itself), author Larry Correia lists a web page of his which discusses mandatory firearms training/qualifying to obtain a carry concealed weapons permit.
