That's a wrap! Thanks for a great season. See you all next year!
We should be shooting 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday again next year.
Final schedule to be finalized in February.
Thanks to DD and SK for putting on the concealed carry classes and to Pierce for providing the space for the class room version and Rob for the use of his range for that portion.
Surprisingly I passed or at least I think that's what the piece of paper Denny gave me says. Next week they're going to teach me to read and then someone suggested maybe even teach me to shoot. All things in good time…

Seriously, I second JJ's thanks to our instructors and our range and classroom benefactors. Having the familiarity with other students, and the SASS background in common, enhanced the exchange of ideas during the classroom portion of the training.
For those of you concerned about the range shooting test, if you can shoot a cowboy match with fewer than 10 pistol misses on the clock, the range test with no time limit should be easy to pass. Just remember to practice beforehand with the gun and ammunition you will use, if it isn't going to be one of your cowboy pistols and SASS-compliant ammo. There were 6 or 7 DA revolver shooters and a mix of auto-pistols, including .380, 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP for the range portion of the class.
Talked to SK after the class and we both found many places where we will be streamlining our presentation, avoiding repetition and tweaking the slide show. Just generally polishing our presentation. It was the first time for us and we will learn through experience.
Unfortunately, my sciatic nerve decided to act up today and delivered a hefty dose of discomfort. When in pain, I tend to be a bit brusque. If I did so, I apologize. Just another one of the benefits of being a Really Old Fart.
For those looking for a class, we should be announcing a date shortly.
Once again, thanks to all who attended!
PS-This is a new forum and I'll be posting CCF information here, along with any answers to your questions. The "business" of the CCF classes will be handled via email as before.
