EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE <br />
Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day (IGOLD) for 2014 has been scheduled! MARK YOUR CALENDARS—the date is Wednesday, March 5th, 2014. There is no doubt that IGOLD will be critically important this year. <br />

I have been watching the introduction of new anti-gun and anti-Concealed Carry legislation. Although nothing is moving right now, it is obvious that we are going to see the anti-gun initiatives pop up everywhere when the time is right for them. We, of course, are going to be proposing new legislation to improve the Concealed Carry law.<br />

On November 6th, 7th, and 8th, 2014, I attended a Concealed Carry Instructor class put on by the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA). I was impressed. I am going to use their material in my Concealed Carry classes. If you are an instructor, I suggest you consider taking a USCCA Instructor class—I understand there will be one in Illinois in January. Illinois State Rifle Association To Turn Heat Up On Suburban And Small Town Mayors<br />

Bloomberg’s MAIG has made major inroads in Illinois. Check to see if your mayor is on the list of members. Our Illinois Mayors need to be asked about receiving campaign contributions from Mayor Bloomberg, MAIG’s obvious divergence from its stated agenda, and encouraged to withdraw their membership.<br />

Remember to be polite and professional. Present them with the facts that MAIG has nothing to do with 'Illegal Guns' and everything to do with making gun ownership illegal.<br />
