Just took a ride with SK over to Dale's Guns in Marengo to buy a PPS. Roads were terrible - blowing snow with zero visibility at times and mostly unplowed. One of the few reasons I would get out in that mess is to buy a gun. Mission accomplished!

[font=times new roman,times,serif]Snow blowed the subdivision for all the widow ladies. I'm a kid compared to this crew. Frost bite on the middle two fingers of my right hand from before and now it's trouble every time I do something in this kind of weather. Can't seem to find anyway to keep the hand warm enough to not have difficulty after. Put hand warmers in the gloves and I can't grip the handles on the snow blower and the circulation in that hand is never going to be good enough to get away with working in cold weather anymore. [/font]<br />

Thursday night I "ponied up" for a new conveyance. Unfortunately, the color I wanted wasn't readily available so there was a delay in getting one transferred to the Janesville dealer, and thanks to the automotive industry's "Just In Time" parts storage methods, a remote starter won't be available for installation until Friday - after the cold snap.<br />

Have you tried shooting mittens instead of gloves? Perhaps a slightly oversize pair will allow you to put the hand warmers on the backs of your fingers and let you get a good grip on the snow blower handles.<br />

Well, I went out this morning and spent about 2 hours with the blower and shovel getting the mess cleaned up. Around 2 PM, my daughter came over with her three teenagers and many shovels. They had planned on doing it for me. What I get for being energetic in the morning.<br />

PS - Quitchurbitching. In 6 months you'll complaining how hot it is.

[font=times new roman,times,serif]Okay, done with what started with one hysterical wife calling me at the shop. Pipes froze and burst above the kitchen where the supply for the upstairs bath runs. Thousand dollar deductible on the home owners insurance so it will cost a minimum of that. Was able to get a plumber out here at 8PM and it only took an hour to tear apart the ceiling and make the repairs. General pain in the ass and got most of the clean up done. [/font]<br />
