Todd Vandermyde, NRA lobbyist for Illinois, stated in an interview yesterday that the ISP would be holding a press conference later this week to announce that the initial batch of CCW licenses were in the mail. If you applied the first week in January, you may see welcome mail in your mailbox in the near future. See the interview here-><br />

The first weekend in March is this coming weekend and if you are in the first batch, you should receive your license next week or so.
