go on, think what you want - its a very MANLY hat! After all, it was made in Manlytana. (Actually, it is made from a mix of mink & beaver fur and does not look like something you would see Daddy Woo Woo wearing. "Daddy Woo Woo" was a name written in gold leaf on the back window of a gold Oldsmobile I saw in Madison a few years ago. I really like the checkering. JJ had some wood grips checkered by laser and they turned out great too. I'll have to think about what I have that is deserving to be checkered.

Well spring sure is taking its time in getting here so, a few of us (Asleep at The Wheel, Huckleberry, Buffalo Creek Kid, Toranado and myself) are packing up and next week heading to where the weather is more spring-like--Phoenix, AZ for the national championships at Winter Range. <br />
Hoping that the nice, reported 70s-80s weather is around for the next week and a half.

Sure wish I could make it down there. It really sounds like fun and much better than pushing snow around. Hope you folks have a great match and show them how the flatlanders can shoot!<br />

Man was the weather beautiful yesturday - so I opened up the safe and took my guns out to shoot a little to get the cobwebs off!!! Just kidding the doctor and John would cut both my hands off if I tried that right know. Though I did just hold my pistol in my LEFT hand so I could feel the new "action" job Lassitor did for me. Pretty sweet - can't wait until I can shoot again.<br />

Would have thought that the pistols would have been okay to shoot by now. Beloit might shoot in March so maybe by then you can do the four pistol deulist thing.

Recovery is going fine - their more worried b/c I am an active person that I will do something before it is ok too. Still doing excerises without weights - I think that comes next week and then only 1 pound. I am going to weight my pistols to see how much they weight so when I lift that amount with my right hand I am ready to go. As far as actively shooting not until about the end of May.<br />

I go next week to the doctors so I think I just might ask about shooting with just the left hand. If all is ok I am definatly going to look into the four duelist category! <br />

You're welcome to use a pair or all four of my lightnings if you want. They are smaller and still no real recoil to speak of (38 Spec.).

I got a couple more items for my outfit, leather cuffs, real boots that almost fit, loading block. Getting ready to do some reloading, see if I can get a little more oomph out of them 44-40's. Thinking of selling the 97 and getting a DB Stoeger. My buddy Mutton Chops, got hisself one.

King Medallion

I've given serious thought to going with BP. I don't have a reloader for shotgun though. Can I shoot BP in rifle and pistols and smokeless in shotgun?

If you mix it up that way you would not qualify for BP. For the other categories you can mix it up however you like, but any BP category must be shot with all guns in BP.
